Except for the square candleholder, which I bought two days after Alex left, I had everything for his little memorial when I still lived in Laramie. Back then, it just seemed like fun stuff to have, but I'm glad I already had that stuff when he died, because I was in no condition to go shopping for beanie babies or figurines of Alex.

I haven't added his ashes to the memorial yet. I'm not even sure how to do that. I'm not ready to deal with his physical remains yet. I might have them make one of those suncatchers with him.

What a perfect tribute to Alex. The stuffed kitty looks like a baby Alex too. That picture really tugs on my heart strings. :(

I bought the beanie baby Alex in a gift shop in Laramie, Wyoming, when Alex and I lived there. It was a total impulse buy but it was so cute I just had to have it. When I got home, I showed it to Alex and told him it was his "mini-me". He tried to kill it. I had to hide the beanie baby from him after that because he was determined to hunt it down and rip it apart.
