Cleo just ripped a hole in one of the kitty cruisers. It's still usable. I was just surprised to see a paw poke out one of the seams.

Paddy has been running around like a maniac since about 5 this morning. Sometimes he is able to get Cleo to join him, but other times she is far too sophisticated for that. It must be something in the air because the cat in the upstairs apartment is running around too. I've never heard that before. It's funny to see my cats staring at the ceiling like, "OMGZ... strange kittehs in the ceiling!"

I wish there was a cat running around in the upstairs apartment instead of the teenager who keeps pounding up and down the stairs. One kid sounds like an entire thundering herd of elephants.

A few days ago, I was amused and pleased to see Jake racing back and forth through our Kitty Cruiser. I haven't witnessed any of the kitties using it for a long time. I've even tried to entice them by tossing catnip inside and that didn't work. Maybe they only use it when they think I'm not looking.

I can get my cats to run around in kitty cruisers by taking one of those long pheasant feathers and poking it underneath, so it makes interesting, crinkly noises.

Cleo figured out kitty cruisers on her own though. She would go in there and wait for Alex to wander by so she could leap out at him. I'm not sure whether Cleo would have caught on to kitty cruisers if she hadn't had Alex to pounce on. When Paddy showed up, she continued dashing through kitty cruisers and he learned to do that from her.
